MAIL NOTICES.
Moils close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — FRIDAY, JUNE 11. For Wanganui and Westport, per St. Kilda, at 12.30 p.m. ; late fee letters, 12.45 p.m. ; guard’s van, 1.25 p.m. train. SATURDAY, JUNE 12. For Northern ports, per Wanaka. TUESDAY, JUNE 15. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Tararna.
The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on June 19, and will be due in London on Augusts. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (fer specially addressed correspondence only), will be closed at Christchurch on July Ist, and will be dnein London on August 21st. The Post Offices at Christchurch and Lyttelton will be open every Saturday night, from half-past six until a quarter to eight o’clock, for the purpose of receiving Savings' Bank deposits only.
