WEIGHTS OF ENGLISH PRIZE POULTRY.
At the great poultry show held in December at Bingley Hall, Birmingham, the following weights were ascertained in the classes for turkeys, geese, and ducks : —“ Ducks : White Aylesbury, Drake and one Duck.—lst, 181 b. Hoz.; 2nd, 181 b. 20z.; 3rd, 171 b. 3oz. Bouen : Drake and one Duck. —Cup, 201 b.; 2nd, 181 b. lOoz.; 3rd, 181 b. 60z.; 4th, 18lb. 3oz. Pekin Ducks.—Cup, 131 b. 20z.; 2nd, 121 b. 15oz, White Gander and Goose.—Cup, 441 b. 140 z.; 2nd, 411 b. 9oz. Grey and Mottled Gander and Goose. —Ist, 381 b. 60z.; 2nd, 371 b. ; 3rd, 351 b. 13oz. Turkey Cook, exceeding a year old.—-Cup, 371 b. 30z.; 2nd, 351 b.; 3rd, 351 b. 9oz. Turkey Cocks, hatched in 1879.—15 t, 261 b. 4oz. ; 2nd, 271 b. 70z.; 3rd, 261 b. 7oz. Turkey Hens, over one year. Ist, 241 b. ; 2nd, 211 b. 20z.; 3rd, 181 b, 4oz. Turkey Hens, hatched in 1879.—15 t, 171 b. 8oz. ; 2nd, 181 b. 40z.; 3rd, 181 b. 30z."
