Mails close at the Chief Post'Office for the following placeß (subject to the iiece'Bsary alterations) as under:— c<l <•• THUBSDAY, JUNE 10. For Akaroa and Otago, per Wellington, at 11.25 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.35 a.m.; guard's van, 12 10 p.m. train. For Northern ports, per Te Anau, at 5 p.m.; late fee letters, 5.15 p.m. train. FBIDAY, JUNE 11. For Wanganui and Weatport, per St. Kilda, at 12.30 p.m. ; late fee letters, 12.45 p.m.; guard's van, 1.25 p.m. TUESDAY, JUNE 15. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Tararua. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on June 19, and will be due in London on August 3. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), will be closed at Christchurch on July Ist, and will be due in London on August 21st. The Post Offices at Christchurch'and LyHelton will be open every, Saturday night, from half-past six unfcil a quartor to eight Vclock, for the purpose of receiving Savings' Bank deposits only.
