MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under:— TUESDAY, JUNE 8. For Ctago and Australian Colonies, per Arawata. at 3.15 p.m ; late fee letters, 3.25 p.m.; guard’s van, 3.55 p.m. train. For Northern ports, per Taiaooa, at 3.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.25 p.m,; guard’s van, 3.55 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, JUNE 9. For Kaikoura, per Tni, at 4.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, 4.35 p m. ; guard’s van, 5.25 p.m. train.
THURSDAY, JUNE 10. For Northern ports, per To Anau. The next mall for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on June 19, and will be due in London on Augusts. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), will be closed at Christchurch on July Ist, and will be due in London on August 21st. The Post Offices at Christchurch and Lyttelton will bo open every Saturday night, from half-past six until a quarter to eight o’clock, for the purpose of receiving Savings’ Bank deposits only.
