MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the t hief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — FRIDAY, JUNE 4.
For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies, via Sydney, per Ringarooma, at 11.25 a.m. ; late fee letters, 11.35 a.m ; guard’s van, 12.10 p.m. traiu. SATURDAY. JUNE 5.
For Northern Ports, per Wellington, at 7p m. The guard’s van must not be used for this mail.
TUESDAY, JUNE 8. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Arawata.
The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will he closed at Christchurch on June 19, and will be dne in London on August 3. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (forjspeoially addressed correspondence only), will be closed at Christchurch on July Ist. and will be due in London on August 21st. The Post Offices at Christchurch and Lyttelton will be open every Saturday night, from half-past six until a quarter to eight o’clock, for the purpose of receiving Savings’ Bank deposits only.
