WASTE LANDS BOARD.
At tlo usual sitting o' the Waste Lands Board, he:d at Christchurch on Monday, May 31st, sales were made as follows: —a sbloy, 227 acreso roods 19 perches ;As .burton, 0 acres--2 roods 20 perches ; Selwyn, 58 acres 3 roods 10 perches; Vincent, 10 acres ; total, 296 acres 2 roods 9 perches, producing £i93 2s 3d. Refunds were made on account of former purchases in the amount of £454 4s 9d.
The total amounts of sales iu May, 1830, were—Ordinary, £1353 acres Broods 3 perches ; under Public Reserves Act. deferred payments 5 acres ; ditto, village settlements. 48 acres; under Middle Island Halt-caste Crown Grant Act, 1877, 8 acres, producing in all £3193 10 9d. Refunds wore made in the same period amounting to £I4BB 14s. In the same period the amount payable for pasturage rents on 2,895,426 acres was £52,972 4s Id,
