[retttee’s telegrams.] LONDON, June 1. Burmese Affairs. News has been received from Rangoon that, owing to the disaffected state into which Burmah has been plunged through the excesses of King Theebau, the whole country is now in open rebellion, but the outbreak is increasing, and has already a ttended to Mandalay, where the British residents were formerly stationed. LONDON, May 31. The Markets. Throe per cent. Consols, 99-f; 5 per cent. New Zealand 10-40 loan, 103 J-; 4.j per cent. New Zealand loan, 1579 to 1904, 985 per cent. New Zealand loan, 1889, 103;V, ex div. At the wool sales to-day 6300 bales were offered, making a total of 324,400 bales catalogued since the opening. The tone of the sale throughout was firm. Irish Distress. The Government has increased its advance from the Church funds towards the Irish distress to £1,500,000.
