MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the t hief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — TUESDAY, JUNE 1. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Kolomahana, at 11.25 a.m. ; late fee letters, 11 35 a m. ; guard’s van, 12.10 p.m train. For Northern Ports, per Wanaka, at 3.15 pm.; late fee letters,'3.2s p.m.; guard’s van, 3.55 p.m. train. THURSDAY, JUNE 3. For Northern Porta and Australian Colonies, via Sydney, per Ringarooma. The next mail for tho United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for correspondence specially addressed only), will be closed at Christchurch on June 3rd. and will be dne in London on July 24th. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchu.ch on June 19, and will be duo in London on Aneast3. The Post Offices at Christchurch and Lyttelton will be open every Saturday night, from half-past six until a quarter to eight o’clock, for the purpose of receiving Savings’ Bank deposits only. Notice—Tho Post-office called Springbank, at the Moeraki railway station, will be closed from 21st instant. SYDNEY J. DTCK, Chief Postmaster.
