Wakatipn arrived this morning from Port Chalmers, and the s.s, Go-a-head from Wellington. The s.s. Wakaticn, Captain Wheeler, arrived at 10.30 a m. yesterday from Port Chalmers, and sailed for Wellington and Sydney. The s.s. Go-a-hoad, Captain Dicker, arrived on Thursday night from Cable Point. She loaves to-day for Wellington sad Napier. The steamers to leave here to-day are the Union Company’s Taiaroa for Wellington, Pieton, and Nelson; tho Maori for Port Chalmers ; the Go-a-head for Wellington and Napier; and tho Grafton for Oamaru. The Colorado, which arrived at Boston on March 21th from Melbourne, experienced heavy weather, had decks swept, and sprung a leak. The tonnage loading on the berth at London. April Bth, for India, China, and the Cape of Good Hope, amounted to 39,875 tons, and for Australia and New Zealand to 53,301 tons. The enquiry into the loss of the Strathnairn has terminated, tho Court finding that a proper look-out was not kept on board the Edith Heugh, which ran down the Strathnairn. The captain was acquitted, but the certificate of tho mate was suspended for six months. The Rio Loga left Newcastle for Hong Kong on the 14th current.
