MELBOURNE, May 27. Singular Suit. The case of Barlliero v. Beaney, a claim for remuneration for obtaining the latter a commission to inspect the hospitals in Europe, was decided in favour of the defendant. Shipping. Arrived—To Anau, from the Bluff. Sailed —Albion, for the Bluff. The Union Company’s steamship Ringarooma sailed for the Bluff yesterday. ADELAIDE, May 27. Opening of Parliament. Parliament was opened to-day by His Excellency the Governor, who in his speech announced that Bills would he prepared to amend the constitution hy increasing the number of members in the Council and Assembly, and altering the boundaries, also an amendment to the Insolvency and Education Acts, as well as other Acts, which were merely of a local character.
