[RETJTER's TELEGRAMS.! LONDON, May 26. The Derby. The race for tho Derby took place today, and resulted as follows: Duke of "Westminster's Bend Or - 1 Mr C. Brewer's Robert the Devil -2 Prince Soltykoff's Mask 3 South-Eastern Europe. With a view to bring about the settlement of the territorial claims of Montenegro under the Treaty of Berlin, the Austrian Government has made the proposal to the Groat Powers that a blockade of Scutari, on the Albanian Coast, should be forthwith proclaimed, so as to prevent the Albanians from obtaining reinforcements. LONDON, May 25. The Wool Sales. At tho wool sales to-day, 9300 bales have been offered, making a total of 251,800 catalogued since the opening. The tone of the sale was rather weaker. Safe after all. Sir William Vernon Harcourt, who was appointed Home Secretary in the new Ministry, but was defeated in seeking reelection for Oxford, has been elected for Derby in place of Mr. Samuel Plimsoll, resigned.
