[eetjtee’s TELEGEAM3.] LONDON, May 20. The Conservative PartyA meeting of the Conservative Party was held to-day, at which Earl Beaeonsfield made a speech. His Lordship referred to the result of the elections, and said he could only attribute the defeat of the Conservative to the desire felt by the electors for a change of Ministry. He stated that be would retain the leadership of his party, and advocated a dignified Opposition to the Liberals, and the formation of a proper local Conservative organisation throughout the country.
