Passengers—Mr and Mrs McMillan and two children. Sunbeam, barque. 413 tons, Thompson, for Cape Town. B. Wood, agent. Passengers— Mrs Thompson, Messrs Thompson, Collington, McDowell, Fluien. Tui, s.s., 64 tons, Wills, for Kaikoura, Wellington, and Poxton. Cuff and Graham, agents. Clio, schooner, 81 tons, Kirk, for Waitapu. Master, agent. Spray, schooner, 50 tons, Ruxton, for Wellington. Cuff and Graham, agent. The Union Company’s s.s. Hawea left Wellington at six o’clock this morning, and is expected to reach Lyttelton about midnight tonight. After to-day the steamer Eclipse will discontinue running to Governor’s Bay and Rhodes’ Bay, the intention being to lay her up during the winter season. The Marmion, Ocean Bird, Hero, and Aspasia were lying in Port Levy yesterday for shelter. The Palala sailed for Falmouth yesterday, and the Sunbeam for Cape Town. A hard S.W. gale prevailed during Thursday night and the early part of yesterday. It was accompanied by heavy squalL of rain, which interfered considerably with the work at the wharves, but beyond this the shipping at the wharves or in the stream met with no misfortunes from it. The s.s. Rangntira is advertised to leave here to day for the Mauutau via way ports. PORT OF SUMNER. Arrived— May 13. _ Norvnl, lifeboat, 5 tons, Day, with a cargo of sheila, from Lyttelton.
