Tho market for Australian and New Zealand breadstuffs is unchanged, Adelaide wheat being at 52s ex warehouse, and New Zealand brands at 43s ex ship, and 49s ex warehouse. Australian tallow is at last quotations, viz., 32s 6d for best beef, and 34s for best mutton. May 14. Prince Leopold has started on his tour through Canada and the United States. It is stated that the Chief Secretary for Ireland, the Eight Hon. W. B. Forster, recommends the adoption of a policy of coercion towards Ireland with a view to settle the difficulties which beset government in that country. LONDON, May 13. The Mails. The homeward English mails via Brindisi were delivered in London to-day. The Markets. against eighteen gentlemen players of Hampshire. The weather is very fine. The Australian team went in first, and scored 250. Their playing was much admired. The top score was made by Mr Murdoch with 97. Mr Boyle made 50. Both players were caught out. The English team went in, and have two wickets down for 43 runs.
