1.0.0. T. NEW LODGE.
A now lodge was instituted in St. Mary's Schoolroom, Addington, on Wednesday evening last, by Bro. 0. M. Gray, D D G.W.0.T., assisted by Bros. J. T. Smith, B. Olephane, H Neil, F. E. Buckland, and several other members of the Ohristohurch lodges. Seven members joined by cloarance card, and nine candidates were initiated into the principles of the Order and became mem-, bers of the lodge. It was resolved that the/' charter and name of the late "Pioneer" Lodge, No. 9, be adopted, and that the ■ weekly meetings be held on Monday evening in the St. Mary's schoolroom. The election of officers . then took place, and resulted as follows:—Bro. J. Hepworih, W.0.T., Sister Douglas, W.V.T., Bro. Geo. Heoworth, W. 8., Bro. Stillwell, W F.S., Bro. Dougla*, W.T., Sister M. Squires, W. 0., Bro. A. P. Douglass, W.M., Bro. S. Penrose, W.I.G, Bro. Jos. Beattie, W.O.G. It was decided to postpone the nomination of a lodge deputy till next week. The officers were then installed by the district deputy, and the lodge deelare.l to be duly instituted. After some ordinary routine business had been transacted, a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Bro. Gray and those who so successfully assisted iu conductng the institution of the lodge.
