MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places {subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — SATURDAY, MAT 8. For Northern Ports, per Taiaroa, at 7 p.m. The guard’s van must not bo used for this mail. MONDAY, MAY 10. For Wanganui and Westport, per St. Hilda, at 11.25 am.; late fee letters, 11.35 a.m, ; guard’s van, 12.10 p.m. train. TUESDAY, MAST 11. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Eingavooma. THURSDAY, MAT 13. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Rotorua. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will bo closed at Christchurch on May 22nd, and will be due in London on July 6th. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for correspondence specially addressed only), will bo closed at Christchurch on June 3rd, and will be due in London on July 24h. Notice. —The Post Office at the Weka Pass Railway Works has been re opened at Mr Woodhouse’s store. The Post Offices at Christchurch and Lyttelton will be open every Saturday night, from half-past six until a quarter to eight o’clock, for the purpose of receiving Savings’ Bank deposits only.
