The Union Steamship Company’s “ Guide to the Company’s Steam Services and the Government Railways ” is to hand for this month, and contains, in addition to its usual information, a notification that a special time table wiil be forthcoming for the steam service daring the Melbourne Exhibition, opening October Ist and that excursion tickets at greatly reduced rates will bo issued by the company during the Exhibition The steamer Aharon made a special trip yesterday to Akuroa, returning in the afternoon. She leaves again for Akaroa to-morrow evening, to return on Saturday. The Magellan, French birque, for Falmouth, sailed early yesterday morning. The Sunbeam will got away for Cape Town next Saturday. Messrs. Black, Davies and Co. announce the schooner Onward for Hokitika, to sail in a day or two. The Edwin Fox was berthed yesterday at the Gladstone pier. The passengers on board for Auckland proceed to their destination by steamer to-morrow. _ A considerable display of bunting was flying yesterday among the shipping in honor of the marriage of Mr W. H. Eyes to Miss Maud Tayler. The brigantine Seabird, Captain Smith, arrived from Hokianga yesterday, after a run down of eight days. Light southerly winds were experienced. The vessel was berthed at No. 4 wharf. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Wellington, May 5. Arrived—Wanaka, from Picton and Nelson; Hawea, from the South. Sailed —Charles Edward, for Nelson; Wanaka, for the South; Grafton, for the West Coast; Rangitira, for Mannkau and the North. PORT OP SUMNER. Sailed—May 5. Eagle, ketch, 15 tons, Messervy, master, with a cargo of potatea, for Lyttelton. Lucy Jamas, ketch, 28 tons, Holst, master, for Pigeon Bay.
