Mauritius advices to the 20 th April report that inferior sugar is lower ia price, and a poor crop is expected. Fourteen hundred tons have cleared for Australia, and 200 for New Zealand. Freights, by last advices, had but little enquiry. The rate to Australia was 32s 6d to 37s 6d. Tonnage was scarce. Frozen Meat. Messrs 'William, Howard, Smith and Sons, owners of a large fleet of steamers trading betweon Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia, contemplate having their boats fitted up with the refrigerating machinery for the purpose of carrying shipments of meat from Queensland, to be transhipped at Sydney to the Orient line of steamers.
