Mails olose at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — TUESDAY, MAT 4. T?or Northern Ports, per Hawea, at 1.50 p.m.; late feo letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard's van, 2 40 p.m. train. For Otago, per Arawata, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard's [van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Kaikoura and Northern Ports, per Tni, at 420 p.m.; late fee letters, 4.35 p,m.; guard's van, 5.25 p m. train. THURSDAY, MAY 6. For Cape Town, per Sunbeam (for specially addressed correspondence only), at 12.30 p.m.; late fee letters, 12.45 p.m.; guard's van, 1.25 p.m. train. '"■ • , The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), will he closed at Christchurch on May 6th, and will be due in London on June 26th. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchnrch on May 22nd, and will be due in London on July 6th. ; Notice.—The Post Office at the Weka Pass Railway "Works has been re-opened at Hit Woodhouse's store.
