Mails close at the C hief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — SATURDAY, MAY 1. For Northern ports, per Wanakn, at 7 p.m. The guard’s van must not bo used for this mail. MONDAY, MAY 3.
For Northern Ports, per Go-Ahead, at 11.25 a.m. ; late fee letters, 11.35 a.m.; guard’s van, 12 10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Westport, per Grafton, at 3.15 p m.; late fee letters, 3,25 p.m. ; guard’s van, 3.55 p.m. train. TUESDAY, MAY 4. For Otago and Australian colonies, per Arawata. The next mall for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), will be closed at Christchurch on May 6th, and will be dno in London on June 26th. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on May 22nd, and will bo due in London on July 6th. Notice. —The Post Office at the Woka Pass Kailway Works has been re-opened at Mr Woodhouso’s store. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
