LYTTELTON WESLEYAN CHURCH ORGAN.
Tho trustees of the Lyttelton Wesleyan Church have recently purchased the organ built to tho order of Mr Giraud, by Mr Jenkins, of this city. Prior to its removal the church has hem enlarged for the purpose of erecting the instrument, and giving additional accommodation for the choir. Daring the last week Mr Jenkins has been occupied in removing and rebuilding the organ, and the appearance of the instrument when completed will be quite imposing. The front pipes consist of the lower pipes of the open diapason (which is of a large scale),which arc symmetrically arranged and chastely decorated. The whole will be enclosed in a case of Gothic design, manufactured from kauri. From the opinion formed by competent judges, there is reason to believe that the Lyttelton people will have no cause for regret in purchasing the instrument. An organ recital is to be given next Thursday, when tho powers of the instrument will bo fully tested.
