[eeutee’s telegeams.] LONDON, April 29. The Markets. The total reserve in notes and bullion in the Bank of England is £16,000,000. At the wool sale to-day, 17000 hales were offered, making a total of 93,200 catalogued since the opening. The tone of the sale was quieter hut steady. The Mails. The homeward mails, via Brindisi, were delivered to-day. Meeting of ParliamentParliament met to - day. The new members were sworn in, and the Bight Hon. H. B. Brand was again elected Speaker of the House of Commons. Our Constantinople Ambassador. Lord Carlingford, formerly Mr Chichester Eurtescue, has been appointed British Ambassador at Constantinople. April 30. Lord Carlingford has declined the Ambassadorship at Constantinople. The Solicitor-General. Mr Earrer Herschell, Q.C., the SolicitorGeneral, has resigned.
