GREENDALE PRIMITIVE METHODIST CHURCH.

The anniversary sermons of this church were preached on Sunday, April 26th, by Eev. J. Clover of Christchurch. The church was decorated very appropriately for the occasion with mottoes worked in wheat ears, and other products of the field. The bazaar was held in the church on Monday, April 26th. The various stalls and amusements were attended by Mc-edames C. Earley, Eudd, sen.. Warren, H. Wells, and Guy, Misses Gough,Eudd, Waby,Westbrooke,Dewar,Wells, and Taylor, and Mr J. Eudd. Tea was laid for the visitors in the new stable erected in the churchyard, and about 200 sat down, after which the public meeting was held in the church, Mr G. Eudd presiding. He briefly stated that the object of the effort was to pay off a small debt on the church property, and thanked the friends for their ready help. Addresses were given by Eev. J. Clover, Smith (Baptist), J. Guy, and Mr Carter, and Sankey's hymns were sung at intervals during the evening. The bazaar was reopened on Tuesday, and the remaining thing* disposed of. The amount realised was about £IOO.
