The following is a list of contributions to the Museum for the quarter ending March 31st, 1880 . Mr Edward B. Wether, Timaru One specimen of the house fly (Musca domestics, Linn.), with parasites on the abdomen (mites belonging to the genus Astoma.) Mr W. H. Burton, Woodend—Kve Maori skulls and portions of five skeletons found in draining a swamp near Massacre Bah, Woodend ; also, one whakakai (wooden dish for the preservation of juice and fat), one wooden slab with carvings, one needle made of human bone, an amber pearl, stone implements of greenstone and chert, found in or near Massacre Pah. The Executive Commissioner of New Zealand at the Sydney International Exhibition, Wellington—Six photographs of the New Zealand Court. The Masters Heinrich and Leo Yon Haast —Collection of dried plants from the Broken river cour-try, 1100 specimens. Mr W. Beeves, Opawa One small toy canoe found in deepening Jackson's creek, Opawa, below driftwood. Master Heimich von Haast— One silver penny of Edward 11. Master Leo Von Haast—One silver penny of Edward 111.
Master Hugh Melhuish Worthy, Christchurch— One specimen of Eudyptula Minor, New Zealand penguin, caught at Sumner. Mr J. Tait, Ohristchurch—Block of Oamaru stone, containing fossil bones. Dr J. S. Turnbull, Ohristchurch—One specimen of altered coal (anthracitio), from Mr W. Wilson's coal mine, Malvern Hills. Mr E. Strange, Ohristchurch—One specimen of pavo cristatus, pea-fowl, young. The Hon. the Colonial Secretary, Wellington—Facsimile copy of treaty of Waitangi. Mr H. Selwyn Smith, Ohristchurch—Two specimens of Fusus oollosseus, from Torres Straits ; one specimen of Madrepore ooral, or Meleagrina margaritif era. The Rev. W. J. Habens, Wellington—One specimen of pitchstone, from Mayor Island. Major Alexander Lean, Ohristchurch Ethnological specimens collected by him at the Massacre Pah, Woodend.

Captain A. D. M'Gillivray, s.a. Wanaka— Specimens of Kawakawa coal enclosing retinite ; one specimen of foßsiliferous sandstone passed in new shaft at Kawakawa 185 ft. below surface, and overlying a Beam of ooal (10ft). Professor F. W. Hutton, Ohristchurch— Two ice-scratched pebbles from the glacial drift, Llanberris, North Wales. Mr O. D. Irvine, 0.E., Ohristchurch—One specimen of caterpillar of Psycho. Mr James Douglas, Papanui—One fossil whale vertebra, from Waipara. Mr J. D. Enys, F.G.S., Oastle Hill Station —Portion of nodule of manganese, dredged by the Challenger in the Pacific Ocean. Mr E. Eldred, Queenstown —Specimens of rooks and fossils from Lake Wakatipu. British Museum, London—Part 11. of Lopidoptera Heterocera; Part IV., catalogue of birds ; index to minerals.
Mr Joseph Day, Sumner—Skeleton of Balrenoptern Huttoni, male (Hutton's pike whale), stranded on Sumner beach. Miss Lloyd, Grey's Library, Capetown— Copies of Bushman rock, paintings from South Africa.
Mr T. Bealoy, Holdon Station, Hororata— Specimen of Phasma horrida, from tho Oxford bush.
Mr B. S. Booth, Hyde, Otago—Three photographs of moa skeletons discovered by him. Mrs H. Mcintosh, Little Akaloa—Specimen of Phiisma horrida.
Mrs Carnahar;, Christchurch—Pre-historic implements from County Down, Ireland, viz., one stone hammer, one stone adze, one stone sinker, one bronze celt; also, five silver coins of Elizabeth, and small collection of Brazilian seeds.
Mrs Von Tempsky—One sculptured stone urn from the ruina of au ancient city of Yucatan, Central America. Mr George Seabright, Christchurch—Specimen of Galaxies fasciatus, Kokopu, mill race, JTendaltown.
The Hon. John Hall, Premier of Now Zealand—Two specimens of the electric cable, just laid, from near Wanganui, North Island, to Wakapuaka, in Blind Bay, South Island.
Mr Charles Brand—One specimen of mnlm. from Waibo district.
Mr C. G. Tripp, Orari—One specimen of brown coal, partially altered, one specimen of mulm.
Mr Kidd, Montreal street—One specimen of Galaxias brevipennis, New Zealand gudgeon. Mr Thomas Peart, Port Levy—One specimen of Katholoßtoma monopterygium, catfish.
Mr George Seabright, Cashel street —One large specimen of Salmo fario, brown trout. Mr W. Colclough, Chrißtchurch—Skeleton larus dominioanus, blaok-baoked gull, from Governor's Bay. Mr Arthur D. Dobson, E.G.S., Christohurch —Specimens of marley oonoretions (loessbabies) from the ilakaia Gorge. Mr J. D. Enys, F.G.S., Castle Hill Station —One Maori belt, made of grass, Spinifex hirautus, Hawke's Bay. Miss Masters, Elaxton—Two specimens of rock crystal, one fossil tooth (lanma) England.
