The Fire Per Cents New Zealand Loan (1889) is at 104 J; the New Zealand Loan (18791904) is at 89|, The market for breadstuffs is unchanged. Australian tallow remains at last quotations. Loss of the Calypso. The ship Calypso, bound from Port Chalmers, was entering the Thames yesterday, when she collided with the General Steam' Navigation Company's steamship Hawk, near Margate. The Calypso sank, but the crew and passengers were saved. The Hawk proceeded on her voyage, and the extent of injury she received is therefore unknown. It appears that the Calypso's lights were not burning at the time of the collision. Ihe Mails. The homeward English mail, via Brindisi, was delivered in London to-day. Bank ReserveThe total reserve in notes and bullion in the Bank of England is £16,000,000. The Order of the Bath. Sir Stafford Northcote and the Eight Hon. Lord J. Manners have been decorated with the Order of the Cross of the Bath.
