SPORTING.

AUCKLAND AUTUMN MEETING. AUCKLAND, April 15. Work on the training ground at Ellorslie is now becoming general. This morning Mr Smith's two were out at daybreak. Xantippe moves in her old form, but, hardly looks up to the mark. Tim Whifller is a fine colt and moves well, but it is feared that he is touched in his wind. Baron did a good useful gallop, and looks a wiry customer, but gives the idea of not being a fast horse from his style of going. Vampire, Laertos and Saunterer did useful work. The foi-iur looks very fit and well. Laertes had bandages on both fore legs, and loots light, though he is full of life. Soukar did good work, and goes Btrong and well, and it greatly improved since his appearance here last autumn. Luna was also out. Stella did a good gallop, and will with time make a useful mare at the hurdles. Harry Mount did a good gallop, and never looked better, and ought to render a good account of himself over the hurdles. Ariel was out, but did not look at all himself. Harkaway, a light chestnut, did a good g3llop, and is intended for the hurdlfß. Grey Momus and Loch Lomond did steady work. Loch Lomond moved very short behind, and does not look so well as he might do. Eversloy and Hilarious were not out. Tho former has been a good deal knocked about by the tiip, and it is more than doubtful if he will appeur at the meeting. Malvern and Keniiworth are both looking and going well, and should render good account of themselves at the meeting, especially the latter.
