MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — SATURDAY, APRIL 17. For Northern Ports, per Taiaroa, at 7 p.m. The guard’s van must not be used for this mail. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on April 24th, and will be due in London on June Bth. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for correspondence specially addressed) will bo closed at Christchurch on May Gth, and will bo due in London on June 26th. SYDNEY J.
