The complication of shipping matters at Auckland resulting from the rapid silting up of the harbor, would appear from the following, taken from the “ N.Z Herald,” to be very greet:—“ The inconvenience of having to move from berth to berth to keep afloat is great. Goods have frequently to bo twice shifted, and goods going to different parts are apt to get mixed up, passengers board the wrong steamers, and endless confusion arises. All this Captain Farquhar {master of a local 'steamer), has to jndare; he does not put himself to all this trouble and inconvenience to prove any preconceived theory or to find an argument against the Harbor Board.”
