MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at tho Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : FRIDAY, APRIL 9. For Northern Ports of New Zealand and Australian Colonies, via Sydney, per Arawata, at 3.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.25 p.m.; guard’s van, 3.55 p.m. train. TUESDAY, APRIL 13. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Rotomahana, at 3.15 p.m ; late fee letters, 3.25 p.m.; guard’s van, 3.55 p.m train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Fratciaco, will be closed at Christchurch on April 24th, and will ho due in London on June Bth. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for correspondence specially addressed) will be closed at Christchurch on May Gth, and will be due in London on Juno 26th. Notice —On and after April 15th tho Post-office at Waikari will be open as a Money Order and Savings Bank office. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
