MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — SATURDAY, APRIL 3. For Cape Town, per Thurso, at 11.35 a m.; guard’s van, 12.10 p.m. train. (For specially addressed correspondence only.) For Northern porta, per Hawea, at 6 p.m. The guard's van must not be used for this mail. MONDAY, APRIL 5. For Otago and Australia, per Bingarooma. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi, will bo closed at Christchurch on April 7th, and will be due in London on May 17th. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on April 24th, and will he due in London on June Bth. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
