MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — FRIDAY, APBIL 2. For Otago, per St. Kilda, at 11.25 a.m. ; late fee letters, 11.35 a.m.; guard's van, 12.10 .m. train. For Northern ports and Australian Colonies via Sydney, per Waikatipu, at 1.50 p.m.: late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. MONDAY, APRIL 5. For Otago and Australia, per Ringarooma. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi, will be closed at Christchurch on April 7th, and will be due in London on May 27th. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on April 24th, and will be duo in London on June Bth. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmnsfcnr.
