DE. HASSALL’S REPORT. The .Analytical and Sanitary Institution, 54, Holbom Viaduct, E.O. London, 9th May, 1877. Report on a Sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps received from Mr H. J. Hart. We have subjected a sample of the above named article to a very careful chemical analysis and examination. The results of the analysis, which are set forth in a separate report, show that this spirit is of good strength, practically free from acidity, and that it contains but traces of solid matter in solution. It possesses a delicate and agreeable aroma, and a pure and mild taste. Mr Hart’s Schiedam Schnapps is avery superior article of ita class, is well purified, and quite genuine. (Signed) Arthur H. Hassall, M.D., Author of “ Food and its Adulteration.” Otto Hkhnkb, F.S.C., Public Analyst, WM. JOHNSON’S REPORT. Government Analytical Laboratory, Melbourne, 23rd July, 1377. Henri J. Hart. Esq. Sir,—l have the honor to report for your information that the sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps forwarded by yon to me has been sub mitted to a searching chemical analysis and critical examination, the result of which enables me to state that it is the finest sample of schnapps that has as yet come under my notice. It has a pure fragrant odor, and ia absolutely tree from any traoo of fusil oil or other injurious impurity, and has evidently been distilled from superior rye grain, always used instead of malt in the production of the choicest qualities i schnapps. It is very smooth to the palate, an' in this respect compares favorably with other - raploa offered for sale. It may he advised as equally suitable for medical or economic purposes.—l have the honor to bo, &c„ (Signed) Wm. Johnson, Analytical Chemist to the Government of Victoria. This pure medical spirit, superior to any in the market, and lower in price, is offered to the public under the full conviction that it will supersede all others now in use.
