From Coist-Mr and Mrs Gabites, Mrs C.<xbea'l, Messrs Kniggs, Borwear, and Mouldy ; steerage; 8. T.<i 5.8., 64 tons Wills, from Gore Bay. Cuff and Graham, agents. Jasper, birquent no, 252 tons, Stennard, from Port Lewis, Mauritius. C. W. Turner, agent. The Jaswr. with about 200 tons of sugar for here, arrived from Mauritius this morning. The Tui. from Gore Bay ; with wool for the Lady Jocelyn, arrived last night. The Te Anau a ived this morning at halfpast nine o'clork. from Dunedin. The ship Br.tish Empire, Captain Melville, arrived yesterday a'ternoon from Auckland, to load here for the United Kingdom in behalf of Messrs f. Cunniogham and Co. and Messrs Eoyae. Stead and Co. Sbe made a good run down of seven dayc, ont of which sbe was under two topsails f >r forty-eight hours doring ihe late southerly gale encountered before ■taking the Vast Cape. . The a.s. Kiwi, in command of Captain Campbell, visited this port yesterday for the first time. She is a good carrying little vessel of 133 tons register built at Hull some five years since to the ordftr of her owners, Messr* Levin and Co., of Welli- gton specially for the trade along the co ist between Wellington and Napier in which sho has proved a moat useful and profitable bout. Her consumption of fuel is smell —four tons per day —and her sp'ed from seven to eight kn ts. Her visit yesterday was for 2000 sanka »f gra ; n f>r the Eastmipster, whi-jh Boa loaded during the day, and sailed back to Wellington at 6 p.m. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Oompauy's Circular of 29th January aaya: —The Now Zealand Shipping Company, Limited, has the vessels aince the date of last San Francisco circular : sth January—Caroline, for Wellington, 202 passengers; 17th—Araby Maid, for Otago. And will despatch : 3rd February—Loch Dee, tor Auckland ; sth—Orari, for Canterbury ; 14th—Ueraldina for Wellington and Canterbury; 25th—Van Diemen, for Otago. The Union < 'ompany's steamer To Anan sails to day for Wellington and Northern ports. From Port Chalm-rs the steamer will bring on the passengers and cargo of the Botomahana, transhipping them from that vessel from Melbourne, the company having determined to send the Kotomahaaa back direct to Melbourne, so as to keep faith with the public as to their timatabla. The s s. Gr*f ton arrived yesterday from Wellington and sails to diy thither and to Greymonth via advertised ports. The s b. Akiroa c*me in on Tuesday night from Gore Bay with a load of wool for the Lady Jocelyn. The ».s. Tui was to arrive ako from there with a load. The s.s. Jane Douglas arrived on Tuesday night from Wellington. Was unable to work at Kaikou-a owin s to the heavy range there. The steamer sailed back for Wellington and Fozton at 6 p.m. The s.s. Wanganui is announced to sail for Greymouth to-day, via Wellington and other ports.
