We have subjected a sample of_ the above named article to a very careful chemical analysis and examination. The results of the analysis, wliioh are set forth in a separate report, show that this spirit is of good strength, practically free from acidity, and that it contains but traces of solid matter in solution. It possesses a delicate and agreeable aroma, and a pure and mild taste. Mr Hart's Schiedam Schnapps is avery superior article of its class, is well purified, and quite genuine. (Signed) Abthtjb H. Hassalii, M.D., Author of " Food and its Adulteration." Otto Hbhnib. P.8.C., .Public Analyst. WM. JOHNSON'S REPORT. Government Analytical Laboratory, Melbourne, 23rd July, 1877. Henri J. Hart, Esq. Sir,—l have the honor to report for your information that the sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps forwarded by you to me has been sub mitted to a searching chemical analysis and critical examination, the result of which enables me to state that it is the finest sample of schnapps that has as yet come under my notice. It has a pure fragrant odor, and is absolutely fwe from any trace of fusil oil or other injurious impurity, and has evidently btcn distilled from superior rye grain, always used instead of malt in the production of the choicest qualities' o schnapps. It is very smooth to the palate, an 3 in this respect compares favorably with other samples offered for sale. It may be advised as equally suitable for medical -or economic purposes.—l have the honor to be, &0., (Signed) Wu. Johnson, Seal Chemist to the Government of Victoria. This pure medical spirit, superior to any in the market, and lower m price, is offered to the publio under the full conviction that it will supersede all others now in use.
