THEATRE ROYAL.
Lord Lytton's historical play "Bichelieu" was performed last night at the Theatre Bcyal. Mr Hoekin3 appeared in the title role, and fully sustained his high reputation for brilliant elocutionary power. The interpretation of the great French statesman and Prince of the Church was a thoroughly well sustained one, the principal points being received with demonstrations of applause, and the actor called before the act drop. Mita Florence Colville sustained the character of Julie de Mortemar, in which her excellence is well known. She shared the honors of the evening. Mr Boothman was a manly and spirited De Mauprat, though a little too robust in his delivery. Mr Mack Alexander was a moderately successful Baradas, and Mr J. P. Hydea as De Beringhen, and Mr Stark as Pere Joseph were satisfactory exponents of their respective characters. To-night the Irish drama, entitled "Eathleen Mavourneen," will be performedas a specialty for St. Patrick's night.
