The vessels lying at the wharves last evening were—At No. 1 : Pleiades, Waimate. Westland, Hereford, Inglewood, Euterpe, Maraval; No. 3 : Akaroa (s>, Hawea (s) ; No. 3: Ada Wiswell, Marie, Anna Bell, Western Monarch; No. 4: Ada C. Owen, Ben Nevis, Lady Jocelyn, Examiner ; No. 5: Star of India, Croydon Lass, Wave of Life Clara, Remonstrant, D’Arcy Pratt, Iris; No. 6: John Knox, Edith May, Magellan, Thomas and Henry, Tni (s) ; No. 7 : Magellan Clond, Circe, Sarah and Mary. The Union Company’s s.a. Hawea, Captain Kennedy, arrived at 6 15 a.m. yesterday from Wellington, a day late, caused by the heavy S.W. gale of Thursday last. The steamer left Auckland last Monday, and called at Tauranga, Gisborne, and Napier. On Thursday she sheltered under Cape Kidnappers, staying there for twelve hours, and from Napier to Wellington a tremendous head sea was encountered, the latter port being reached at 5 a.m. on Saturday. Sailed thence at 12.30 p.m., arriving as above. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Port Chalmers, March 15. Arrived—Clematis, from Hobart Town.
