THEATRE ROYAL.

Coleman’s fine old comedy, “The Jealous Wife,” was performed at the Theatre Royal last night. The performance of Mr and Mrs Oakly by Mr Hoskins and Miss Colville, is well known as being amongst their most successful impersonations, and their acting last night was commensurate with their well-won reputation. The remainder of the characters were done justice to by the company. The performance terminated with the favorite burlesque “La Somnambula,” which created unbounded laughter and applause. This evening the performance will consist of the favorite comedy entitled “Our American Cousin,” in which Mr Hoskins takes his old character of Asa Trenchard, and Miss Florence Colville will appear as Florence Trenchard. The programme will conclude with the burlesque.
