MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under:— THURSDAY. MARCH 11. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe (via Brindisi), Mediterranean Ports, Africa, the Bast, Australian Colonies, &0., per express train (to connect with s.a. Rotorua at Port Chalmers) as follows : Ordinary letters, 7 a.m. Books and newspapers, at 6 a.m, t;,;-. Money orders, at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10th. Registered letters, at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10th. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling post-office attached to the express train leaving Christchurch on Thursday, March 11th, at 8.40 a.m. , i This mail will be due in London on April 29th. Note. —Correspondence intended.for despatch by the Brindisi route should be specially addressed to that effect. For Ctago, per Taiaroa. For Northern Ports of New Zealand and Australian Colonies (via Sydney), per Kingarooma, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on March 27th, and will be due in London on May 11th. SYDNEY J. DICK. Chief Postmaster.
