[By Tbleoeaph.] DUNEDIN, March 8. The twelfth annual meeting of the Standard Insurance Company was held to-day. The report, which was adopted, recommended that no dividend should be declared. The chairman, in reply to questions, said that the losses had been confined exclusively to three offices —Sydney, San Francisco, and London. The directors had decided to close the San Francisco office, and the London agent had been imperatively instructed to confine his operations to colonial business. They had resolved on discontinuing certain business which had 11 along proved unremunerative. Messrs J. Reid and J. Curie were re-elected directors.
