Sailed —March 8. Comet, ketch, 53 tons, Shoit, for Waitapn. Master, agent. There were thirty-three vessels lying at the wharves last evening, making together upwards of 19,009 tons register tonnage. Of these eight are at the Gladstone pier, their aggregate tonnage being close upon 10,000 tons. At this pier on Saturday the Arethusa had 13,500 sacks of wheat loaded, the Pleiades 3000, and was putting out cargo, the Euterpe 5000. and putting out railway iron; the Hereford between 6000 and 7000 sacks. The Waimato had taken in some wool towards her home cargo, and was discharging ; the Westland was landing her cargo in fine order, and upon the Arethnsa moving out the Inglewood will tako her berth. The brigantine Circe, Captain Alexander, arrived on Saturday morning from Greymouth, with a cargo of coal for Mr O. W. Turner. She left there on February 27th. Weather permitting, the steamer Akaroa will make a special trip to Little Akaloa to morrow. The Hawkhope, at Wellington, comes here to load for home.
