The ships Bulwark and Pleione are reported m tie “ European Mail ” as arriving at San Francisco from here both on the 24th December, The Fdwin Fox, from London to Canterbury, was off Pul worth (Dorset) on January 10th. She has 20 saloon, 12 second cabin and 76 steerage passengers. . , . _ , The Himalaya hence arrived at Gravesend December 24th. . The Palala, from Loudon to this port, sailed from the Downs January 3rd. She has 6 saloon and 36 second cabin passengers. On January 15th there were at London loading for this port the N.Z.S. Foote, F. Foote, Bauchop, Muir, Howard, and Flynn. Auckland, March 3. Soiled Mary Anderson, schooner, for Noumea; Hero, s.s., for Sydney. The whaleship James Arnold has arrived at Russell. Captain Wilson reports taking 190 'barrels of sperm. Spoke the Horatio, Captain Arnan, with one small whale since leaving Russell. ~ , „ Wellington March 3. Arrived Wellington, from Nelson and Pioton ; Waitiki, from the South ; Stella, from Taranaki ; Hinemoa, from Southern ports. Sailed —Wellington, for the South; Go-ahead, for Napier and East Coast. The barque Buttermere, from London, has arrived after a ninety days’ passage. She brings a full complement of passengers and a large general cargo. Port Chalmers, March 3. Arrived —Eaikanui, s.s..
