The Commission for the rectification of the Turko-Greek- frontier, which has been sitting for some time under the Presidency of Safvet Pasha has failed to come to any understanding on the frontier question. The Greek and Turkish Commissioners were unable io agree, and the Greek Government has accordingly solicited the mediation of the Great Powers with a view to the settlement of the TnrkoHellenic frontier. Attempted AssassinationShots were fired to-day at two of the officials attached to the Russian Embassy in this city. One was rather seriously wounded. The motive of the would-be assassin is unknown.
