Mails close at the C hief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : WEDNESDAY. FEB. 25.
For Australian Colonies, per Express train, at 7.30 a.m. (to connect with s.s. Eotomahana at Port Chalmers). For Otago, per Wakatipu, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2 10 p.m. : guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. THURSDAY, FEB. 26. For Northern Ports of New Zealand and Australian Colonies (via Sydney), per Tararua. SATURDAY, FBB. 28. For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe and America,! China, Japan, West Indies (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Hawea, as follows: Ordinary letters, 5.30 p.m. Late fee letters, 6 p.m. Books and newspapers. 4.30 p.m. Registered letters, 4.30 p.m. Money orders, 4 p.m. Guard’s van, 7.20 p.m. train. This mail will be duo in London on April 13th. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi, will be closed at Christchurch on March 11th, and will be duo in London on April 29th. SYDNEY J.
