Mails close at the Chief Post Office' for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — TUESDAY, FEB. 24. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Rotomahana, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m. : guard's van, 2.40 p m. train. For Northern Ports, per Taiaroa,at 1.50p.m.; lata fee letter, 2.10 p.m. ; guard's van, 2.40 p,m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on February 28th, and will be due in London on April 13th. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi, will be closed at Christchurch on March 11th, and will be due in London on April 29th. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
