DR. HASSALL'S REPORT. The Analytical and Sanitary Institution, 64, Holborn Viaduct, E.C. London, 9th May, 1877. Report on a Sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps received from Mr H. J. Hart. We have subjected a sample of_ the above named article to a very careful chemical analysis and examination. The results of the analysis, which are set forth in a separate report, show that thia spirit is of good strength, practically free from acidity, and that it contains but traces of solid matter in solution. It possesses a delicate and agreeable aroma, and a pure and mild taste. Mr Hart's Schiedam Schnapps is avery superior article of its class, is well purified, and quite genuine. (Signed) Ahthue H. Hassa.i.l.. M.D., Author of " Food and its Adulteration." Otto Hehnkb, F.S.C.. Public Analyst. WM. JOHNSON'S REPORT. Government Analvtical Laboratory, Melbourne, 23rd July, 1877. Henri J. Hart, Esq. Sir, —I have the honor to report for your information that the sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps forwarded by you to me has been sub mitted to a searching chemical analysis and critical examination, the result of which enables me to state that it is the finest sample of schnapps that has as yet come under my notice. It has a pure fragrant odor, and is absolutely free from any trace of fusil oil or other injurious impurity, and has evidently been distilled from superior rye grain, always used instead of malt in the production of the choicest qualitiet i schnapps. It ia very smooth to tho palate, an 1 in this respect compares favorably with other <amples offered for sale. It may be advised as equally suitable for medical or economio purposes.—l have the honor to be, &c, (Signed) Wh. Johnson, Analytical Chemist to the Government of Victoria. This pure medical spirit, snperior to any in the market, and lower m price, is offered to the publio under the full conviction that it will supersede all others now in use. VALUABLE A MEDICAL DISCOVERY EUTER'S T IFE OTEUP Is a medicine that was discovered by old Nurse Bertrasd, who had been occupied in sick rooms and with the care of sick people for over fifty ears. Is is made purely and entirely of PLANTS, HERBS, AND ROOTS, And is exceedingly agreeable and pleasant jto both the taste and smell, being warm, aromatic, and spicy. It is a most thorough purge, cleaning out the bowels without pain, and withoua nausea or sickening. It does not weaken, and leaves the system open and free, never drying up the bowels afterwards, as every other purge that we know of does. It can ba given to infants and invalids with safety, and in every case of old or young, it is guaranteed to cure the worst cases of constipation, indigestion, and all diseases that affect the stomach and bowels. It iB, moreover, a powerful stimulator and INVIGOEATOR OF THE LIVER. Its effects upon the blood and_ humors is something really astonishing, and is much more immediate and thorough than that of any other purifier yet discovered, having this great advantage, that when it has, by its depurating powers, set free in the system the poisons of Scrofula, Salt Rheum, Malignant Ulcerous Sores, and Cancerous gatherings or lumps, it instantly carries them out of the body by purging the bowels. No other purifier does this; with all of them the patient must take pills, or some other equally nauseous dose of physio, or if they do not, the poison remains in the system, and eoes back into the blood. REUTER'S LIFE SYRUP Is exceedingly pleasant to take, needs no second dose to purge the bowels, and does all the work required to effect a perfect cure. BARRY'S PAIN RELIEF, Purely vegetable; for use internally or externally. Cures in one minute. Try it! Try it t f BLOOS'S FOOD FOE INFANTS AND INVALIDS. PREPARED upon Baron Liebig's principal; approved and recommended by the most eminent of the Medical Profession. Surpasses all other substitutes for the natural food of infants, and effectually promotes nutrition and health. " A child deprived of its mother's milk can only be fed properly when the food given io equivalent in power to that of woman's milk. " BARON LIEBIG." The great success of this food is a convincing proof that it perfectly fulfils its object. MEDICAL CERTIFICATES. " After a careful trial of Mrs Bloor's Farinaceous Food for Infants and Invalids, I feel no little pleasure in recommending it as the best substitute I have met with for tho natural food of infants, from its being highly nutritions, easy of digestion, and not irritating the alimentary canal. In my opinion its more general use would tend greatly to diminish the excessive mortality which has hitherto existed in the colony. " Having tried Mrs Bloor's Food for Infant and Invalids, I am justified in saying that 1 consider it an excellent article in all cases where infants are deprived of their natural food, and invalids sufferingfrom dyspepsia, combined with feeble digestive powers. "GODFREY HOWITT, M.D., " 194 Collins street, Melbourne." j 1-8 Sold by all Chemists and Druggists. 660
