WELLINGTON, February 20.

The following are the vital statistics of the boroughs named for the month 'of January :

The total births in the above boroughs were 511, against 448 in December, being an inorease of 63. The deaths amounted to 183 in January, being an increase of 13 on the numbdr in December. Of the above deiths those of males were 108, and of femalpß 75 ; 104 of the deaths were of children under five years of age, being 56.83 per cent, of the whole number ; 84 of these were of children under one year of age.
