Mails close at tho Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : THURSDAY, FEB. 19. For Australian Colonies, per expross train, to connect with the s.s. Ringarooma at Fort Chalmers, at 7.30 a.m. For Otago, per Taiaroa, at 11.25 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.35 a.m.; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Nelson, Westport, Jackson's Bay, Martin's Bay, per Maori, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard'3 van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, perTe Anau.at 1.50 p.m; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on February 28th, and will be due in London on April 13th. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi, will be closed at Christchurch on March 11th, and will be due in London on April 29th. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
