The brigantine Flirt, Captain McDermoid, pnt in here windbound yesterday, bound from Auckland to Timaru, with 65,000 ft. timber and 20 tons drain pipes. The vessel made rather a remarkable passage, leaving Auckland but five days and a half ago. She started in the face of an easterly gale on February 11th at 10 p.m., and made round the North Cape, clearing it •when twenty-four hours out. Twelve hours later she was off Kaipara Harbor, aud on the third day out was off Wellington. On Sunday made Kaikoura, coming down with a N.W. galo behind her. Since Sunday light baffling winds were experienced. She was to sail for her destination last night. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Port Chalmers, February 18.
