“ Macbeth ” was a pretty fair play, considering the times it was written in and the times it was written of, although it is not at all like one of Boueicault’s. There are detects in it, of course ; one of which is that a character called “ Exeunt ” does too much of the marching and fighting. Still it does very well—quite well.—“ Sidney Lanier.” An English physician says : —“ If you feel like sneezing, throw yourself flat on your buck.” Yes ; or it will do as well to turn a handspring ana then crawl under a sofa. By the time you’ve accomplished this you’ll have got over wanting to sneeze, which will amply repay you for your trouble. —“ Boston Post.” A sleight-of-hand performer named Wyman (not the original Wyman) astonished the people of Waco, Minn., by his clever feats. He did many wonderful things, making things appear and disappear in mysterious ways ; but his greatest trick was not known until he had departed. It was found that he had substituted the village landlord’s daughter for his wife and assistant, eloping with the former and leaving the latter behind.
