Huia for Kaikoura, Wellington and Foxton is postponed till Wednesday at 8 p.m. Two of the Union Company's steamers leave to moirow—the Arawata for South and Melbourne, and the Waitaki for Wellington and North. . „ The barque E3peculador, Captain Powell, arrived on Saturday forenoon from Newcastle. She left 19th nit., and experienced light winds across, put into Guard's Bay and Port Underwood, leaving the latter place on the 4th inst., and had light baffling winds and calms to arrival. The vessel was berthed at No. 3. TheU.S.S. Company's s. 8. Penguin, Captain Malcolm, arrived on Saturday morning from Russell, Auckland, and ports ot the East Coast. Russell wa3 left on the 31st nit., Auckland, 2nd February, Tauranga 3rd, Gisborne 4th, Napier noxt day, and Wellington on Friday. The steamer stopped at White Island on the •way down, and several of the passengers visited ihat interesting locality, staying upon the island sufficiently long to collect some curios. The Penguin proceeded South to Akaroa and Dunedin on Saturday afternoon. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Port Chalmers, February 9.
